I have a vision that Namine is going to be the main character for this AU – much of the story will revolve around her and her growth.
Intermediate students are typically 15-17 years old. While they have more privileges than Junior students, they still can’t partake in missions on their own; they need to be accompanied by teachers and a couple of senior students. 3rd year Intermediates need to undergo a tough written exam AND one extremely difficult group mission before they can even advance into Senior level. Few usually make it.
Kiryu is basically Repliku, in case that wasn’t clear enough lol. Vanitas is Sora’s older cousin, and Ven is Roxas’ older brother by a year. Xion is Aqua’s younger sister and cousins with Riku and Kiryu. Xehanort is….well, the youngest of the Xehanort family. Kairi is cousins with Ven and Roxas!
Namine used to spend her life in the streets, away from people, because she’s afraid people would try to kill her or that she might end up killing people due to her being unable to control her powers. But the principal took special notice of her after hearing her case, and offered her a place in the Academy to help her control and make use of her powers.
As Lea contemplates about his past, Kairi and Sora help out their new friend remember and memorize his true memories.

You know, it occurs to me, that since Roxas is a part of Sora now, he must be seeing Riku every single day.
…you know, the guy who basically killed him?
And he seems to have gotten over it astonishingly well at this point, but having to interact with him regularly, I have to wonder if some of his resentment might boil over every now and then? Like, he can’t interact with Riku himself, but maybe it’d subconsciously affect how Sora acts some?
…And I know this is all a sad scenario to consider, but after I thought of it, the next thought that came to mind was this image of Sora and Riku just crossing each other’s paths, and casually greeting each other as they go by, and it’s like
Riku: Hey Sora.
Sora: Hey murderer.
Riku:….
Sora: W-w-wait I have no idea where that came from!
