Sora’s friendship with Donald and Goofy is 50% them acting as immature as him and 50% them acting like his parents.

They have a lot of coffee on that gumi ship.

They probably half blame Mickey for it but then see what he has to deal with in regards to Riku and just feel like Karma has done it’s job.

But yeah, if you don’t write the Disney characters as tired dads/big brothers to these two disasters then you are doing something wrong.

somethin was bugging me about how we’ve only seen sora in all these trailers (and a brief shot of riku) and i think i’ve stumbled upon why.

…what if sora’s running away from his friends? excluding them in his search for the organisation and getting roxas back, even at risk to himself? throughout all the games sora’s been searching for his friends… once he meets riku properly they travel together till the end of 2. in ddd they’re supposed to be travelling together, and the journey is also getting to meet again. i get that riku is separately going to find aqua, but that shouldn’t take the entirety (or majority) of the game…. and kairi and lea wouldn’t be training the WHOLE time, as thats just overkill and wasted development…. we also see sora in his new clothes in all the other worlds, hinting that he passes the mark of mastery at the beginning in olympus & gets those spicy new clothes with his feat.

maybe the reason why we see so little of the others is because they’re also searching for sora, & that’s big story spoilers. it’s reminiscent of bbs too, and they only meet again when the big bad battle clashes at full force – sora could turn into soranort, and they were just too late.
