The Anti-form digs too deep, and pulls darkness and power from pieces of a heart that is not completely Sora’s. Everything continues to go wrong from there (ie. an idea I want to do more with, because dark Sora is fun as heck, but who am I kidding I am lazy)
Inspired by this gif because I’m a big willy, and obviously this song was on repeat the entire time I worked on this
tbh I was thinking about how Olympus Coliseum could play out and since Mt. Olympus itself is gonna be in it I’m wondering if Zeus and any other gods are gonna actually show up and then I started thinking about a few ideas:
Zeus giving Sora honorary demi-god status or super boost of a sort. How to unlock Flow attraction or whatever???
Ven’s heart waking up screwing with Sora and randomly the environment will turn into a stretch of Castle Oblivion
When everything is fine and dandy in disney land again Sora ends up approaching Zeus about the whole Keyblade War deal and Zeus is all “Huh, I haven’t been asked about that in a bit…” “Okay but someone asked???” “Yeah, a dude about your age. very clever. Had a bit of a weird name-” “Xehanort??!?!?!” “Uh yeah how did you-” “WHAT DID YOU TELL HIM WHAT HOW WHY WHEN-” “Chill he should either be hella old or have died from old age by now-” “NO HE IS KICKING AND KICKING US IN THE ASS”
Little paneling test for an AU where Sora has terrible luck with relationships and crashes on best pal Riku’s couch whenever he gets his heart broken. Which happens a lot. Also Riku is a coward who will never admit to his feelings.
Riku feeling like he’s being suffocated by the darkness, he opens his mouth but nothing comes out. He can’t warn his friends to run, or tell them that it’s not him.
Please, don’t hurt them.
He pictures them all dead at his feet, his body laughing but his insides screaming in protest. Their lifeless eyes stare up at him, each holding an accusatory glare. He could still hear their screams.
It’s not me. I’m so sorry. It’s not me.
Even Sora, his best friend who said he would never blame Riku, stared up at him with blue eyes swirling with sadness, his face scrunched up in pain. Riku knows it’s because he blamed himself for being unable to save Riku. It’s enough for him to wake himself with his own screams.
He’s finally able to breathe, but each breath comes out as a strained wheeze. He feels something cup his face and he flinches, his sleep ridden mind thinking it was the darkness again.
When nothing hurts him, he opens his eyes to see the face of his best friend. Worry was there instead of fear. Warmth instead of cold, light even though it was dark in Riku’s room.
One day he’ll be able to tell the difference between his nightmares and reality.
