I can totally see lightning sort of being a motherly type towards noctis!

like, while he’s napping she’ll put an extra blanket or pillow on him, then he’ll wake up wondering who put it on him and iggy will tell him it was lightning and he’ll softly smile, thinking that he never thought lightning was the mother type.

or lightning will be softly reminded of serah when he see’s how noctis acts all happy, warm, moody, ect and it’ll put a soft smile on her face.

or maybe when he’s feeling down, due to his responsibilities as a prince, she’ ll try to comfort him and be there for him the best she can and give her best support.

edit: 

he’ll try to ask ignis to help him cook for her, while she’s sick, he wants to make lightning feel better, even if his cooking isn’t as good as iggy’s.

she’ll kiss his forehead good night and maybe tuck him in a little.

lightning drying out a water soaked noctis with a towel, after noctis gets pulled into a lake, while fishing or when it’s raining and he brought no coat/umbrella, he’ll pout a little because he doesn’t like being treated like a child sometimes and lightning will scowl him for not being careful.

noctis twists his ankle and lightning carries him on her back, all the way home and the bros tease him about it as soon as they get home.
