I’m thinking about a Kingdom Hearts AU where Sora and Roxas are actually twin brothers. It sounds like a good idea!

Roxas and Sora were separated during KH 1, Sora was sent to Traverse Town and Roxas to Twilight town where he would soon meet Hayner, Pence, and Olette who become his closest friends. Roxas remembers what happened but has no idea how to even start looking for his brother and friends so he ends up staying on Twilight Town. Sora goes on his adventure as usual, except with added goal of finding his brother.

At the end of the game Sora still ends up at Castle Oblivion, and has this memories unchained. But at this time Roxas is kidnapped from Twilight Town only to have his memories erased and forced into the Organization.

In this AU Organization 13 is actually kidnapped people with their memories changed, “Nobodies” are completely made up (Roxas keeps his name since it already has an X). It is in the Organization that Roxas discovers he has a Keyblade and becomes extremely important.

Throughout KH 2, Sora is actually fighting against Roxas without realizing it, but someone from the Organization (probably Xemnas) tells him who the 13th member really is, causeing Sora to stop fighting. It becomes a race to save Roxas, find Riku, stop the Organization, and get home to Kairi before it’s too late.

This has probably been done before, but I hope my version is at least a little different!
