Okay but imagine Aqua coming across Vanitas in the Realm of Darkness and he keeps following her around to make fun of her and just be a general piece of shit because at this point he’s alive only out of spite and really has nothing better to do. And he’s really sarcastic and makes a lot of suicidal and self-destructive jokes, so Aqua slowly starts catching on to his Tragic Backstory and basically becomes the one-woman crew Vanitas Defense Squad. But Vanitas ain’t taking none of that crap ‘cause he knows it has to do with the way she is and the way she was brought up and if she doesn’t have someone to “mom” she’ll implode and he calls her out on it and she starts thinking about how she did act like a mom to Terra and Ven and how Master Eraqus basically tasked her with babysitting them and how she didn’t have the chance to make her own mistakes and learn from them and at that moment the realization that her Master is gone, her Master is dead and she’s never going to see him again just punches her right in the gut.

Someone please write a fic, I can’t write and I need this in my life.
