Able: Where’s Beck?
Link: He went out.
Able: He’s grounded!
Link:… are they not allowed out when they’re grounded?
Able: Is Beck hitting on a soldier?
Tron: Not successfully.
Beck: Tron, you’re hurt.
Tron: Oh, that explains it.
Beck: Explains what?
Tron: The stabbing pain in my side.
Tron: Beck, you doing okay? You scared?
Beck: I’m scared you won’t let me make a flamethrower and use it throw flame.
Tron: You’re right, I will not let you do that.
Tron never let himself call Beck a friend until the Identity episode because he’s too afraid to. Almost every single friend he ever had up to that point was either killed, or ended up betraying him. And after everything that happened to him he was too scared to call Beck a friend. Whether it was the thought of letting someone be that close to him again, or the fear of jinxing himself he just couldn’t bring himself to say it. Until he realized that it was hurting Beck.

All combatants prepare for team battle.

Tron: Liberation
The Game has changed. The Revolution has begun. With Tron healed and once more in the fight for the Grid, the war has begun. But Clu will not give up so easily, and this is a war that will be fought in the streets. But it is a war that Beck and Tron intend to win, so long as they can do one thing first:
Survive.
