So instead of doing requests like a good admin should my ass decided to compile a series of fucking headcanons revolved around what it would be like to try with the guys. You could put these in context with the game but I’m leaving leeway for it to be outside the game.This is written in a different p.o.v because it’s easier for me to type out. 

Buckle up kids, this is going to be a long one. 

• getting involved with their journey was hard enough on its own, but now that you’re 100% in the loop you kinda want out of it. Noctis told you in the beginning that it was going to be dangerous and you just scoffed, how hard can it be simply traveling to Atlissa? Really hard, apparently.
• Car time, is the calmest time. You’re squished between Gladio and Noctis but Prompto feels bad about that and gladly offers to let you take his place up front. 
• Traveling at night is odd, because Noctis is driving and you’re now stuck between Ignis and Gladio. 
• Messing with Prompto is a reoccurring activity when Ignis is driving. Poking the blond in the back of the neck, whispering in his ear, messing with his hair. Stuff like that. It’s funny to watch him jump from the startles and then whine about it. 
• Falling asleep is relatively easy though, both Gladio and Noctis don’t care if you lean on them. Noctis likes it cause it keeps him warm when the top of the car is down and Gladio just likes cuddling. Both of them casually wrap an arm around you and bring you closer, it’s pretty great. Sometimes Prompto whines about it cause he wants to cuddle too. Sorry buddy, you chose the front seat maybe next time.
• Sometimes, if the night is really calm, the boys will let you spread out across their laps. Head on Noctis’s lap, feet on Gadio’s lap, butt resting on the middle seat, blanket over your body. A+ nap time. That’s super rare though, cause Ignis pesters them about it when they let you do that.”It’s not safe,” He’ll say. 
• Yelling at the boys to sit down is a daily occurrence. “Noctis,” You start reaching your hand up to grab him, “Sit down, I swear to god you’re gonna fall.” Noctis just chuckles and shakes his head, “Nah, I think I’ll be alright.”
• Ignis jerks the car forward and you’ve never seen Noctis sit down in his seat so fast in your life, “Told ya so.”
• Camping is pretty fun, though.
• After helping Ignis cook and clean up and everyone has finally decided to settle down in the tent a bit of arguing occurs on who’s sleep next to who. Prompto’s body temperature runs really cold, so he usually wants to sleep between you and Gladio. Gladio is a fucking human heater, he’s the best person to sleep next to. Ignis doesn’t really care but Noctis does. 
• “I want to sleep next to you tonight,” He’s pretty blunt about it, “Prompto slept next to you the last time we camped out.”
• You end up sleeping between Prompto and Noctis 90% of the time. The remaining 10% is between Gladio and Ignis; that’s usually when the other two won’t stop bickering and you send them to the opposite side of the tent.
• Mornings are the best thing on the planet, Ignis is the only one who actually comprehends anything right after he gets up. It takes everyone else a varying amount of time to shake of the sleepiness. 
• After untangling yourself from Prompto and prying away from his sleepy grip, the first thing you have to do is wake up Noctis. He takes the longest. Prompto and Gladio get up with a simple nudge of your foot but Noctis. Jeez, this boy could sleep through anything. 
• Leaning down you run your hand through his hair and laugh, “Alright, prince. Time to get up, we have to get moving.” He just groans and rolls over. 
• You’ve had to drag him out of the tent by his ankles a few times to get him to wake up, Gladio threw him into a lake one time, Prompto slapped him. The amount of ways to wake this man up is endless. The thing that works best though is calm voices and gentle touches, he comes to pretty quickly.
• Traveling on foot benefits you in more ways than one. Gladio hikes you up on his back the moment he notices you’re tired. There’s lots of fun casual conversation and silly ‘eye-spy’ games with Prompto and Noctis. 
• “I spy with my little eye something blue.” Noctis and Prompto are aggressively trying to figure out what it is and then Ignis comes out of no where with a quiet, “His highness’s eyes.” You just smile and nod, “Yep!”
