So this was just going to be Riku, but the more I thought about it the more I realized that within each of the main trios there’s that one member who has– whether intentionally or unintentionally –hurt the other two in some way.
So, I thought, whether they already have been forgiven, are trying to redeem themselves, or still need to be saved… Y’know these guys are gonna end up being forgiven by their trios in the end.
Imagine the first time Riku meets the Lingering Will it remembers him immediately and when it goes over towards Riku he’s all unsure whether or not he should whip out his keyblade (since Sora warned him about it) and the only thing it does is ruffle Riku’s head
And then it crumbles down because now that Riku’s here the Lingering Will trusts him to take Xehanort down. And Riku takes the armor and Keyblade and keeps it with him until he reunites with Terra.
Riku puts on the armor for boss fights or as an intimidation tactic and whenever he does he gets little suggestions from the Will. when he finally meets Terra hes all “huh, you’re not as bossy in person”
